If you are tired of weak mixing intensity for magnetic stirrers, irregular spin, and magnets that keep falling out of place, then our agitation systems are the right choice. With integrated and user-friendly mounting, our agitators are suitable for all your mixing needs. Combining the best features from magnetic stirrers and overhead mechanical mixers and provides a superior agitation experience for laboratory usage.
Designed to fit your reactors, BPC’s agitation systems are available in a range of sizes and styles. For glass reactors 500 mL to 2L, our agitation systems rely on a flexible agitation tube and an inserted stainless steel agitation rod. For our larger bioreactors, powerful mechanical stirring is achieved using a propeller fitted stirrer rod with a range of mixing power available to suit your needs.

BPC® Move
BPC® Move is a compact standalone mechanical agitator ideal for easy, reliable mixing, dispersion and dissolution of particle-free solution and slurries. It combines the strength and reliability of mechanical agitation with the ease-of-use of magnetic stirring. Discover a new type of stirring that will improve user’s laboratory experience significantly.
Smart Agitation System
By connecting to a standard motor controller, the Smart Agitation System allows a user to control motors without any additional instrumentation. It provides the speed and direction control for the Brushless DC Motors, as well as software for remote or local access and control.
Standard Agitation System
Our unique agitation system that comes as standard with BPC Instrument systems (AMPTS, BPC Blue, Gas Endeavour) and can also be bought as a standalone motor kit. Controlled remotely by our AuroraTM software, the standard agitation system is compatible with GL45 laboratory models and is available in 500 mL, 1000 mL and 2000 ML sizes.
CSTR Agitator
The BPC CSTR Agitator is a long, brushless DC motor controlled agitator specifically designed for our CSTR bioreactors. Fitted with a propeller at the end of the shaft, the CSTR agitator ensures your bioreactors are mixed efficiently while allowing for both analogue or remote control (via our AuroraTM software).
BPC Strong Agitator
The BPC Strong Agitator is our bespoke agitator for tough stirring requirements. Like the CSTR agitator, it is a long, brushless DC motor controlled agitator specifically designed for our bioreactors. However, the Strong Agitator comes with more than double the torque to stir high viscosity mixtures.

Common questions about agitation systems
What reactor sizes do you offer agitaton for?
Our agitation systems can be used in reactors starting at 500 mL, up to 20 L. FOr smaller reactors, we recommend the shaking water bath.
Can agitation be remotley controlled?
All agitation systems that run through our instruments or motor control unit (Smart Agitation) can be controlled remotely via our Aurora software. BPC® Move is a standalone agitator with manual control attached.
Do the agitators need a power source?
Yes. All our agitation systems are operated using a mains power supply.
