The BioReactor Simulator (BRS) III is a monitoring and measurement instrument for anaerobic fermentation tests in a continuous mode.
The gas flow rate measurements and data logging of the BRS are fully automated during the incubation period. The high precision of gas flow monitoring is based on a patented flow meter array using the principle of liquid displacement and buoyancy. The organic loading rate (OLR), hydraulic retention time (HRT), and specific gas production (SGP) are calculated and displayed in real time.
DUO configurations are designed to increase the testing capacity for double gas measurements.

This configuration introduces a carbon dioxide absorption unit and one BPC Core Unit with 18 channels, so users can measure the total gas (e.g., CH4 + CO2) and a gas component (e.g., CH4) from 9 samples simultaneously.
