The Automatic Methane Potential Test System (AMPTS®) III is the well-established analytical system for conducting anaerobic batch fermentation tests. This includes:
- biochemical methane potential (BMP) tests
- biogas production (based on methane and carbon dioxide composition)
- specific methanogenic activity (SMA) assays
- residual gas potential (RGP) analyses
This version is composed of 9 2L glass reactors. DUO configurations are designed to increase the testing capacity for double gas measurements.

The Automatic Methane Potential Test System (AMPTS®) III is the well-established analytical system for conducting anaerobic batch fermentation tests. This includes:
- biochemical methane potential (BMP) tests
- biogas production (based on methane and carbon dioxide composition)
- specific methanogenic activity (SMA) assays
- residual gas potential (RGP) analyses
This version is composed of 9 2L glass reactors. The system supports precise and accurate data collection, through our user-friendly and fully integrated Aurora™ Software for easy access to sampling, analysis, recording and report generation.
DUO configurations are designed to increase the testing capacity for double gas measurements. This configuration consists of one BPC Core Units (18 channels), where users can measure the total gas (e.g., CH4 + CO2) and a gas component (e.g., CH4) from 9 samples simultaneously.
